The World Anti-Doping Agency also appealed to the CAS for a transparent judgment, pushing Sinner’s fate into the cloud. Now journalist Ben Rothenberg has shared CAS’s statement about WADA’s appeal.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has found no issue in WADA’s appeal. Their statement confirmed WADA’s request to challenge ITIA and ITF’s verdict. WADA further requested that CAS impose a year or two of suspension for the athlete, including disqualifying “all competitive results and the Jannik Sinner during the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells/USA.”

CAS confirmed, “The CAS arbitration proceedings have commenced. In accordance with the Code of Sports-related Arbitration (the CAS code), the arbitration tules governing CAS procedures, the parties are exchanging written submissions and the Panel of arbitrations that will decide the m,matter is being constituted.” This statement confirmed that the process of judgment in underway. However, they confirmed, “at this time, it is not possible to indicate a time frame for the issuance of the decision.”
