From her story, fans spotted Rune greeting his fans and throwing his cap at the audience. Sharing it, Alma wrote– “You gotta loooove the RG Vibe !” She didn’t stop there but shared another photo of a beautiful sunset from the stadium. Sharing the photo, Alma wrote- “Roller coaster day but ifg.” 

Her Instagram stories perfectly captured her emotions about her brother’s win yesterday. This Danish ATP star defeated Italy’s Flavio Cobolli by 6-4, 6-3, 3-6, and 3-6 with 7(10)- 6(7). Rune, the two-time quarterfinalist at Roland Garros not only impressed his fans with his victory but showed an ultimate competitiveness against his Italian opponent on the court.

Occasionally accompanying her younger brother on the tour, 25-year-old Alma has been among Rune’s staunchest supporters. Her photos and postings from the 2022 French Open at the stadium went viral. From watching stands, she could be seen encouraging and motivating her brother. In the fourth round at Roland Garros in 2022, with her assistance, he defeated Stefanos Tsistsipas.

Earlier Alma Rune talked about his brother staying “cool in tough situations.” She further said, “He’s so brave. He’s not really scared, even though he wants to do everything perfect, I’m like, ‘Wow, you’re only 19. And you’re playing against the best players in the world and you’re staying so calm’. [He] doesn’t really fear anything. I think he’s really fearless and that makes me really proud.”

“When I got the break in the second set, I was thinking, ‘I need to get the win because today is my sister’s [Alma] birthday. I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to give a great gift by winning a match”- said the world’s number 13 ATP star. Rune’s adorable gesture proved that he is very close to his sister. It also showcased how his victories are often pumped by his love for his family.
