The power of brotherhood is gaining traction at Roland Garros. Besides stunning every other opponent that falls in his way in the singles run, Stefanos Tsitsipas is also dominating the doubles side. While he decided to travel the road of love with Paula Badosa in mixed doubles, his brother Petros Tsitsipas is backing him for the men’s doubles road. Although the couple pulled out of mixed doubles, the brother duo is holding on to the Olympics dream.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is all set to play his quarter-final showdown against Carlos Alcaraz. However, besides the singles path, the Greek is proving to be dominant on the doubles road as he’s backed by his own blood. Recently, the duo took down Austin Krajicek and Ivan Dodig to secure a position in the third round.

Both of them are currently carrying a dream to represent their nation in the upcoming Paris Olympics. Being stagnant on their expectations, Petros said, “If it happens, it’s a dream come true, something we’ve both wanted from a young age. I don’t think about it too much because to compete in the third round of a slam is also a dream achievement.”

Besides pressing on the Paris dream, Petros also expressed the honor of playing alongside his brother.“Having the opportunity to race alongside my brother is the most special thing for me. Every time we go out it’s an exciting experience that I try to live to the fullest,” the Greek said. Along with that, he also mentioned how it could be hard for the rivals to stand against them by adding, “I would say we play a bit of an unorthodox double, we both have more of a power game.”

As Petros sides with his brother, so does Stefanos in a show of mutual respect. Back when the duo faced issues playing amid a noisy crowd, Stefanos took a firm stand to defend their position.

Stefanos Tsitsipas defends the duo’s spirits by slamming the Australian crowd

This wasn’t the first time when the Tsitsipas brothers joined hands to speak on a common issue. Back when the duo sided with each other to participate in the Australian Open, they had to face the wrath of the audience as they treated the duo with “distractions”.

Being annoyed with the levels of noise, Stefanos Tsitsipas defended the alliance with his brother by mentioning, “You don’t know until you’re a tennis player when you’re trying to zone in, get in the zone, it’s difficult when you see movement and when you see stuff happening around you.”

Along with that, he also justified the reason behind the limited noise. “There is a tiny little yellow ball flying around, and it requires your concentration sometimes over 100%. If that can affect you at 5%, we’re in trouble,” he added.

The Tsitsipas brothers are currently carrying the beacon of expectations for countless fans. As they look forward to the upcoming showdown in their schedule at Roland Garros, it still remains to be seen how far the bond of blood exceeds.
