It is good news for Alcaraz fans! Despite his forearm injury being a real bad luck for the Spaniard in recent times, Alcaraz seemed to be “getting rhythm” ahead of Rolland Garros. Claiming to play in a “100% pain-free” state, Alcaraz offers an interesting method for motivating himself before the French Open tour.
In a press conference for Roland Garros, Alcaraz was asked to speak about the status of her forearm injury and how he is feeling ahead of the second Grand Slam tour of the year. However, surprising the fraternity, Alcaraz said that he doesn’t remember what doctors told him about his current injury state.
“Well I think you’re not gonna believe me but I don’t know exactly what I have on the forearm. When I do the test, when I’m talking with the doctors, my team they explain me, what I have on the forearm but I listen to them but then I forget it and I just uh Focus to do uh the things that the doctors, my team told me that I have to do that” said the Spaniard.

The Spaniard hurt his forearm during his practice sessions in Monaco. It was right after he reached Miami’s quarterfinals. After that, Alcaraz retrieved his name from both the Monte Carlo Masters and the Barcelona Open due to a forearm injury. Despite trying his luck in Madrid, this Wimbledon champion had to leave the tour in the quarterfinals with a saddening defeat against Andrey Rublev.
He didn’t participate in the Italian Open afterward. “I felt some pain after playing in Madrid, some discomfort in my arm… I did some tests and I have a muscle edema in my pronator teres (forearm muscle), a consequence of my recent injury I need to rest so I can recover and play 100% pain free” – he said. This statement concerned his fans about his ability to play at Paris’s clay court. However, Alcaraz assured fans saying that his injury was not serious and he was not feeling any pain.
“That’s it so you know what I remember is that they told me that this it’s not going to be serious he’s not going to be, it’s going to not take too much time but here we are recovering. I’m not feeling any pain in the practices” he said. However, he also mentioned that his forearm injury has scared him and he thinks about it whenever he is practicing.
“when I step on the court but I’m still thinking about it when I hit in forehands, probably I’m going to say I’m a little bit scared about hitting every forehand my 100% so I have to change it to my first match but you know everything that I’m focusing that I’m not feeling any pain” he concluded.

Despite not being fully confident about his forearm, this Spaniard Grand Slam champion didn’t disappoint his fans but motivated them with his bits on the hard work he has been doing for the second Grand Slam event.

“Honestly, I come here to this tournament with not too many matches, not as many matches as I wanted, but I’m focusing on the practice, I’m practising well. I’m getting rhythm. I’m getting confidence in the practice that I think is really important, and I think I don’t need too many matches to get to my 100%” -he said.
