As we are just a few days away from the start of the second Grand Slam of the season, the men’s draw for the French Open is finally here. World no.1 Novak Djokovic was the no.1 seed in the draw. Former World no. 1, Daniil Medvedev, is in the other half as the no.2 seed. After the draw, we could see some great first-round match-ups and some potentially huge matches down the line.

Novak Djokovic could face Rafael Nadal in the quarter-final at the French Open 2022

World no.1 Novak Djokovic will face the Japanese player Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round. On the other hand, 13-time French Open winner, Rafael Nadal, will face Australian Jordan Thompson. Also, both the players are in the same half of the draw and can face each other in the quarter-final.

On the other half of the draw, the no.2 seed, Daniil Medvedev, could face Andrey Rublev in the quarter-final. The dark horse of this tournament, Carlos Alcaraz, could face Alexander Zverev in the quarters.

Many former players and current experts think Novak Djokovic will again win the French Open. Notably, after a tough start to the season, he recently found his form at the Italian Open. In that tournament, he looked like his former self after dominating all of his opponents to clinch the title.

Apart from Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz will be the other favorite after his recent performances on the red soil. Currently, the 19-year-old Spaniard is the most in-form player on the tour. He won back-to-back titles in both Barcelona and Madrid. Before that, he won the Miami Open as well.
