In collaboration with the United States Tennis Association, Tiafoe’s humanitarian project will make the sport more accessible to kids from underprivileged communities. The 2022 US Open semifinalist revisited his childhood court, the Junior Tennis Champions Center, where he talked about the inspiration behind this initiative that will build a path for the next generation in his hometown, Maryland.
The American tennis star, the son of immigrants from Sierra Leone, opened up about the adversities he faced during his childhood days. Just like a lot of underprivileged athletes, ‘Big Foe’ grew up without the necessary resources which were required to support his tennis education program in his hometown. Later, the current World No.1o got the opportunity to play at the tennis center in Maryland, where his dad worked as a custodian.

Further, the young tennis star’s sponsors have also contributed $100,000, which will be used to provide free or low-cost tennis and education service to athletes from impoverished communities.
