The American tennis star rose to fame after he defeated the Swiss Maestro at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Though he failed to win a gold at the Olympics, it was enough to mark him as a challenger for Federer.
However, after a few years, the American player bid farewell to the sport in 2013. Now, as his former rival bid the sport farewell, he is gearing up for a comeback. Starting slowly, he is going to participate in the upcoming ITF tournament, Rancho Santa Fe $15K Futures.

Furthermore, he is going to team up with an incoming Stanford Tennis freshman Hudson Riverain in the doubles category. The duo got the slot at the ITF tournament through a wild card entry. The 43-year-old tennis star achieved the ranking of world no. 4 in 2006 and during his career, he went on to win 11 titles.
In an attempt to win more, he is back on the court.

The American tennis player has praised the Swiss Maestro for his capability of being a happy loser. And that is what Blake has always held close to his heart after all these years.
In a recent episode of Pure Tennis Podcast, Blake revealed Federer’s reaction after his defeat at the Beijing Olympics. The Swiss Maestro wished him luck and hoped he wins the gold. And later on, when he was dealing with his injuries, Federer wished for his quick recovery and comeback.
