The on-court excellence of Boris Becker was undeniable. However, the German tennis icon’s tumultuous personal life often overshadowed his achievements in tennis. Things became especially difficult for Becker in 2001 after he went through a divorce with Barbara Feltus. Following the divorce, it came to light that Becker had a sexual encounter at a London restaurant with Angela Ermakova, a Russian waitress, in 1999. At the time, Feltus was pregnant with her and Becker’s second child. Details of the encounter shook Becker’s life, but they shook Ermakova’s more. As a result, to this day, Ermakova remains vocal about Becker’s problematic traits.

Ermakova took to Instagram to criticize Becker in a veiled April Fools’ day post. In the caption, she wrote, “I think we all know a person who fits the description. He is always FULL of himself.” Her rant only got harsher as she stated that “He puts his best clothes on to present the facade, but forgets to put his pants on”.
She went on to state, “He puts his best clothes on to present his facade, but forgets to put his pants on – to emphasize the part of his body that guides him, instead of his soul.”
Ermakova concluded her post by saying, “whatever pain he causes to others, he never accepts the guilt, and instead blames his victims instead.”
