Young Jannik Sinner has been a sensation in the tennis world. He has achieved some fine accomplishments at a very young age. The man behind nurturing the Italian talent was Riccardo Piatti. The Italian connection started when the teenage Jannik was a raw talent. But after 7 years of collaboration, Sinner decided to part ways with the coach.

It was speculated for a few days that Sinner will look to refresh his coaching staff. Sinner declared the separation via his official Twitter account, thanking the coaching staff for the efforts and guidance provided to date.

“After many successful years together, my coaching team and I have decided to part ways. I’d like to thank Riccardo, Dalibor, Claudio, Andrea, Cristian, and Gaia for everything they have done for me from the beginning of my career until now. Riccardo especially, he taught me many things that will forever remain a part of my tennis. Many special memories were made and I’ll always look back on the time we spent together fondly.”

There has been no public comment made from the end of the coaches as of yet.

Sinner options for the new coaching staff

Interestingly, the young Italian already has a proposal from John McEnroe in hand. McEnroe already had expressed a desire to coach Sinner, even as a part-timer.

McEnroe said, he would be available for the Italian and would even talk with Riccardo if needed. Jannik also replied positively and said that he would “like to be coached by a tennis legend”. The news or an alliance is yet to be confirmed, but the World No. 10 is certainly looking for an upgrade in his game.

Also, speculations are swirling about German legend Boris Becker and Magnus Norman. Both have had very successful and proven coaching careers. Also, both are without any serious coaching commitments as of now.

Becker trained Novak Djokovic from 2013 to 2016 and won 7 Majors. Whereas the Swedish coach Norman helped Stan Wawrinka claim his 3 Grand Slams.
