Foreseeing Disaster, Taylor Fritz Offers Clarification as Girlfriend Throws Him Under the Bus After Tennis Lesson

After completing a great season, Taylor Fritz is back to practicing the sport to make sure he can get better for the next season. But this time, his practice sessions are not with any other tennis player or alone. His girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, was seen accompanying him as well, just like she does at all his matches.

The two of them can be seen playing on the court, engaging in a heated game where Taylor Fritz is throwing shot after shot at Riddle. He even reposted the video of them playing on his official social media account and explained that there was more going on than just shooting serves.

The video that was posted of the two of them shows how Fritz was throwing shots toward Riddle during the practice session. Later on, Riddle also asks Fritz about what he would rate her out of 10 if it was about the improvement she made. To which he answered, “A lot actually. Your improvement is like an 8 but your actual lesson is like a 6.”

And once the video went viral, people thought Taylor Fritz was just throwing balls toward Riddle and making hard shots towards her. But then, to clear the air, Fritz reports the video on his official Twitter account with the caption, “She posted the 10 seconds of me bombing serves at her (she asked for it) and not the 45 min of me giving a genuine lesson.”

This clears up the fact that he was not just taking shots at her but genuinely trying to teach Riddle as well. But that is not the only controversy he has been recently involved in when it comes to tennis. Taylor Fritz was also dragged down by his fans when he talked about a ‘premium tour’ for himself and other top players, so much so that the 26-year-old later had to explain that to his fans as well.

Taylor Fritz had previously mentioned how it would be a great idea for top players to have a premium tour so that they can collect their points from that tournament instead of playing at lower-level tournaments. Due to this statement, he was called out as an elitist, which was not his intent.

So later on, Taylor Fritz had to clarify what he wanted. He clarified that he intended to ensure that the top 100 to 120 players get a chance to play this tour so these players can be chosen at the end of the year based on their rankings so that the same players don’t get the hold of the tour. Everyone gets a fair chance to be a part of it. He was also very annoyed at how he had to give a follow-up explanation for a basic thing.
