Andre Agassi is one of those few players who had a successful career even after facing tremendous ups and downs during his time. He struggled with drug addiction and faced a failed marriage. 

The tennis legend has been an inspiration for what he has struggled with, but he is blessed to have a supportive family, and loves his kids. However, once he took a dig at his children at an annual dinner organized for drug addicts.

Andre Agassi took a jab at his children

In 2013, when the former tennis player was invited to give a speech at an annual dinner, he came on the stage after a beautiful dance performance by some kids.

Seeing that, he went off the script and changed the atmosphere with his hilarious line and said, “Kind of makes me want to fly home and slap my kids.” Further, he also clarified that “What have they done with their lives?” and a burst of laughter was caught in the atmosphere. He moved on saying, “Sorry, not on script here.”

The American star has two children with Stefi Graf, who was also a skilled tennis player and has broken many records. They both have ‌30 Grand Slams combined, among which 22 belong to Graf and the rest eight are entitled to him. Overall, Agassi is a very supportive parent letting his children decide their own paths rather than them getting into the sport. However, his daughter is a little of a tennis enthusiast, and it will be great if she wishes to play professionally.

The former tennis player felt lonely in his game and to rescue himself from that, he went on to take crystal meth, a highly addictive stimulant. Even his first wife has talked about his drug addiction being a serious issue in her book. However, nothing serious happened when he tested positive for taking drugs. But after a few years of suspension, he came back stronger in the game and won two back-to-back Grand Slam titles, making sure that he leaves the sport with a mark.
