Playing big in Bastad, Rublev smashed all the competition on his way to the final. Facing Casper Ruud in his last Swedish Open match, the Russian player brought down the Norwegian in two sets and achieved a bagel in the second set. During the post-match ceremony, he gave a big speech and thanked everyone in his team. However, he forgot one part of his speech which he shared on his Twitter handle.

In his tweet, where he mentions the missing part of the speech, he wanted to dedicate his win to the late Avicii. “One more thing a forgot to say during ceremony in Bastad. I want to give tribute to one of the greatest artist ever exist from 🇸🇪 Avicii (Tim Bergling) 🖤 His legacy will live forever. ◢ ◤“.

While Rublev gave his tribute to the star now, another athlete decided to pay their respects to him last year.
