Novak Djokovic is a name that has earned almost everything in the world of tennis. With 23 grand slams already to his name along with a number of ATP titles, the Serbian legend is one of the greatest players of all time. Not only the accolades, the Serb has also garnished millions of dollars of money through prize money and brand endorsements in tennis.
Speaking about the same in an interview, Novak Djokovic flexed his net worth while highlighting the main aim behind establishing his organization PTPA. The Serbian also highlighted the major problems that the upcoming stars have to deal with in tennis and why is it such an expensive game.
Novak Djokovic flexes his net worth while highlighting major PTPA concern
Novak Djokovic, a super-rich tennis star with over $510 million in career earnings, isn’t pushing for the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) to make himself even richer. He’s got plenty of money and a fancy $40-million estate in New Jersey to enjoy during the Open. In 2023, the net worth of Novak Djokovic went to $220 million which is mouth-watering for any player on tour.
Instead, Djokovic’s passion for the PTPA comes from wanting to make tennis better for everyone. He points out that being the 150th-ranked player in the world can be tough. These players often travel without a coach and struggle with the high costs of the sport.
“That’s not the case,” Djokovic said in an interview. “I’m fine for this life and many other lives. We all definitely want to see a change at the base level because the 150th player on the planet struggles and often has to travel without a coach. People don’t realize how expensive this sport is.”
The PTPA is the only organization that is 100% focused on players' best interests.

Djokovic wants to change this. He’s not showing off his wealth; he’s using it to shine a spotlight on the challenges many tennis players face. For him, the PTPA is about fairness and helping those in the sport who need it most.
Novak Djokovic reveals long-term goal for PTPA
In another interview, Novak Djokovic stated the importance of PTPA while citing the long-term goal of the organization. Novak has always emphasized on giving every player a healthy chance to stand and compete against the best in the world. He has always wished to create an organization that has worked towards the betterment of the players and work around their development.
In the interview, Ahmad Nassar, the Executive Director of PTPA said that they are looking to build an independent, self-sustaining association that could last for at least the next 50 years in tennis. He also suggested that, unlike other major sports like soccer, NBA, baseball, and other sports, tennis really requires an association like this.
Thus, the aim with which the association was started has really helped aspiring generations to stand a chance and compete in this highly advanced lobby of some of the best players in the world.
