21-year-old Felix Auger-Aliassime is one of the brightest and most promising future stars of men’s tennis. Even today, he is among the most challenging opponents on the ATP Tour. Although he is yet to win his maiden ATP singles title, the young Canadian has grown exponentially this year. And now, Felix has entered the Top 10 ATP Rankings for the first time in his career.
Indeed, there couldn’t be a better way for the new World No.10 to end his season. Accordingly, Felix took on Twitter to reflect on his 2021 season and his recent milestone. He played his last match against compatriot and friend Denis Shapovalov in the Stockholm Open semifinals.

Notably, the Top 10 debut proved to Felix that he improved as a tennis player from last year. Which is why he is also proud to see himself among the best ten tennis players in the world.
“Every season starts with the same objective. Become a better player than I was the season prior,” Felix wrote. “Looking back, I’m proud to see that I’ve accomplished that objective by reaching a new milestone in my career.”
Furthermore, the Canadian star also credited his setbacks and disappointments for strengthening his character and will to be better. Hence, he is now ready to build on the lessons learned this year.
“I’m now more determined than I’ve ever been to face the challenges ahead, and I’m already looking forward to the start of the next year. Also very happy to be in the top 10 for the first time this week. Let’s hope it’s the first week of many,” Felix concluded.

Undoubtedly, the 21-year-old has a complete all-court game. However, Felix hasn’t found his way yet to make it through the big stake matches in his career.
For instance, the Canadian star has a 0-8 record in the titles matches on the ATP Tour. A ‘big game’ statistic like that is worrying, but Felix is a constant learner and will unquestionably stay on the top level for many more years to come. Sooner or later, he will win his first title and open the door for more.
