Bethanie Mattek-Sands has been really enjoying the atmosphere around Cincinnati. The Olympic Gold medalist had paired up with the Polish Iga Swiatek in the Western and Southern Open. The pair looked absolutely enthusiastic, post-winning an intense three-setter against Darija Jurak and Andreja Klepač.

Swiatek is the youngest player in the top 10 rankings of the WTA. Furthermore, she is the first Polish woman to win a grand slam singles title in history. The French Open winner has an enormous fan base from her home country. The American athlete, Bethanie, felt the love and support from the Polish fans during the game. She expressed it on social media post the match.

Iga Swiatek brings the support of Polish fans
The former world no. 1 in doubles uploaded a video on Instagram where she shared her views on the fans in the stadium. Mattek-Sands felt the Polish people were louder and more motivated. The pair could be seen talking about the fans during the video.

Towards the end of the discussion, the American tennis player said, “I feel a little Polish.”

Despite their best efforts, the pair of Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Iga Swiatek failed to emerge victorious in the quarter-finals of the Western and Southern Open.
Although the duo had a good run this year, they lost to the Czech Republic pair of Kateřina Siniaková and Barbora Krejčíková, with a score of 4-6,3-6 on Friday.
