Roger Federer isn’t only passionate about tennis! We all know about his love for collecting trophies. During his 24-year-long career the ‘Swiss Maestro’ has collected 103 titles and that list includes 20 Grand Slam titles. However, apart from his passion for collecting trophies, do you know he also has a giant collection of sneakers? Recently, during a conversation with Complex’s Joe La Puma, Federer talked about his love for sneakers and how it has now also channeled down to his kids.
During that conversation on the YouTube channel, we heard Roger Federer reveal a very interesting story about how his giant collection of sneakers calmed down one of his twin boys. “My boys are, we have twin boys and twin girls, and the boys are ten now. I don’t know one of the boys was in a bad mood, you like, the other week, and for some reason, I wanted to talk to him quickly and I took to this space where actually all my shoes are lined up. Behind the door, so at one point, I thought like let me show him the collection and he started to ask me all these questions, ‘What is this shoe, what is that shoe, where does this come from, why is that one so gold, oh my god you have a football shoe as well’. I was taking him through this whole journey of shoes that I had,” said Federer.
Does it mean that just like him, even his kids are now starting to get into this passion for shoes? In reply to this question, Roger Federer hilariously admitted, “Well yes, actually the boys are getting into it. They are not asking me for many shoes, I am still deciding what they wear so it’s all good.” In 2019, during an interview, Federer revealed that his love of shoes has led him to own “too many“. In fact, do you know Roger Federer has more than 250 pairs of stunning shoes in his collections?

Do something different and make something meaningful,” said Federer. While explaining his thoughts on the first shoe (THE ROGER Pro) with On, Federer said, “It was a real learning curve.
