Italian tennis player Fabio Fognini, who has had a forgettable year on the ATP tour, announced a positive news on when it comes to his personal life. The athlete and his wife Flavia Pennetta, who won the 2015 US Open, welcomed their third baby earlier on Friday.

Fabio Fognini announces happy news for fans regarding his personal life
Fognini took to Instagram to announce the news as he wrote, “Welcome little Princess”.

The young girl was named Flaminia following their family tradition of putting up the names of children that start with the letter ‘F’.
Before Flaminia, the couple had earlier given birth to a boy named Federico and they also have a girl named Farah.
Currently, Fognini takes a short break from tennis after his recent unsuccessful outing at the Paris Masters, where he lost to Marton Fucsovics in the opening round. Post this, the Italian joined team Sky Sports as a commentator to analyze the on-going ATP Finals in Turin.

Earlier this year, Fognini’s team Italy reached the finals of ATP Cup. The Italian team lost to team Russia in the final. Since then, Fabio struggled to produce memorable performances on-tour.
Several tennis players congratulated the happy couple
After making it to the fourth round of Australian Open, where he lost to Rafael Nadal, Fognini went on to reach the quarter-finals of Monte-Carlo Masters. During the last eight at encounter, the Italian lost to Casper Ruud in straight sets.
Coming back to the announcement of Fognini and Pennetta, many tennis stars reacted to the former’s Instagram post. One of the tennis stars to wish the couple was Fernando Verdasco.

“Big!! Congratulations Daddy!!”, wrote the Spaniard.
Runner-up at the 2015 US Open Roberta Vinci also wrote “Congratulations” to the happy couple in Italian.
The 2021 season ends on a positive note personally for Fabio Fognini as he gears up for the hard-court season that begins in Australia next year.
