Nigerian-American actress and comedian Yvonne Orji revealed the name of her favorite tennis player. This person is none other than America’s star Frances Tiafoe or the Big Foe of tennis. Orji is currently attending the Desert Smash event at La Quinta Resort & Club. It is a charitable event that brings together both the tennis celebrities and the famous Hollywood personalities. Yvonne Orji joined many other renowned personalities like Charlize Theron and Novak Djokovic to make this event successful.

Through the exclusive lens of EssentiallySports, the actress was seen trying her tennis skills along with Frances Tiafoe for the event. She then went a step further to compliment Tiafoe beautifully.

In an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports for the Desert Smash event, Yvonne Orji was asked about her favorite doubles partner. In her response, Orji said- “I think I’m playing with Tiafoe, you know, Big Foe now. He’s Sierra Leonean and I’m Nigerian so will be a really good matchup.” Orji’s reason for choosing Tiafoe delighted the fans’ hearts.

Yvonne Orji was joined by Grand Slam winner Victoria Azarenka and American star Frances Tiafoe for the event. Charlize Theron also took part in the match. Azarenka who partnered with Theron lost the toss. The match was competitive from the very beginning. Theron will be receiving the funds for her Charlize Theron African Outreach project and she seemed delighted with the tennis star’s presence.

Theron said- “I’m from South Africa, very proud South African, and I wanted to keep a connection to my country that I knew would always bring me back. Starting (Charlize Theron African Outreach Project) was a way to honor all the grassroot organizations who do such incredible work in South Africa,”

Frances Tiafoe faced off against Casper Rudd at the Desert Smash event’s match last year. Both the players tried their best and used all their energy. Orji was the chair umpire for the match. She said- “They don’t make pros like they used to,” This year Orji further expressed her happiness in attending this tennis match for the event. She said-“We all cried, we all hugged each other, We needed the win.”
