While the desire to see if he can achieve success on tour remains high, Federer is also wary of not damaging his body in the process. The Swiss star talked to one of his sponsors Credit Suisse in a recent interview about the recovery and when can fans expect to see him on-court.
“I feel like I will know a whole lot more coming April, you know, where my body is going to be like. Until now, I wasn’t really allowed to run yet and do the heavy workloads with jumps and stop and goes. So I hope that that’s all going to start hopefully in a couple of weeks. And then we’ll see how the body will react to that.”

After losing to Hubert Hurkacz in the quarters at Wimbledon, Federer didn’t play any matches on-court and according to the timeline provided by him, it’s likely that the Swiss star will try and be prepared for the grass-court season. In the interview, Federer detailed how he is extremely motivated to get back on a tennis court.
“I’m really motivated to do my work, that I’m allowed to do, I did it all again this morning. I am back in the gym again tomorrow. And I’m working as hard as I’m allowed to. So it’s still good times even though it’s a little bit slow, because I would love to do way more but the doctors and everybody is holding me back a little bit.”
