Over the years, there has often been a debate surrounding the ‘greatest player of all time’ in tennis. Swiss maestro Roger Federer, alongside the likes of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, has been the focal point of most of those debates.

During his illustrious career, the Swiss legend has enthralled tennis fans with his elegant style of play. Recently, American tennis legend, John McEnroe, took Federer’s example to explain facing defeats in one’s life.
John McEnroe cites the example of Roger Federer
During the Club Random Podcast, the seven-time Grand Slam singles champion got into a conversation with Bill Maher on the Republicans and Joe Biden becoming the United States President. Talking on this subject, McEnroe said, “Remember when there was like a middle ground of some kind, yeah, god forbid that you’d be like you fight it out. Lisa, you mentioned Ted Kennedy and these other people but like in those days at least Biden, when he was, you know, doing that come to like, okay let’s get it.”
Further, he added, “We both get some we win, some we lose, some which happens all the time in comedy. You go up and do it. It’s not like you hit it perfect every time. We don’t win every match, even Roger Federer, right, loses 10-15 percent. I lost 17-18 percent of my matches.”

Federer makes Centre Court appearance at Wimbledon
Last week, Federer made an emotional return to Wimbledon’s Centre Court. The Swiss maestro was present for the centenary celebrations of the prestigious court. It was this very place where the former World Number 1 last played in the previous season. Since then, he has been away from competitive action owing to a knee injury.
