After his debut, Rafael Nadal made rapid strides on the ATP tour. The Spaniard quickly registered himself as one of the most talented players in the world. Back then, Agassi was in the twilight of his career. The American was quick to spot what made him special. Analyzing the Spaniard’s special qualities, Agassi said, “He brings such enormous spin to the game that actually changes the rules of engagement. So you have two things with Rafa that are clearly stand out to me is that because he can hit the ball and it doesn’t end till it bounces.”
Agassi further added, “Right, that changes positions in the court where he can play. There are sets of all those other qualities that I mentioned about Fed and his power of movement, his strength, and endurance and physicality is kind of unmatchable. You have him bringing that into it.”
Nadal set for an exhibition tour in South America

The year 2022 has been great for Nadal. He started big by winning the first two Grand Slam titles of the year. The 36-year-old, however, had frequent injury troubles. His persistent foot injury resurfaced in the French Open, and later he had an abdominal muscle tear at Wimbledon.
With his growing age and frequent injuries, there were many speculations about his retirement. However, the 22-time Grand Slam champion has more to offer to his fans. Next month, Nadal will compete with the US Open and French Open finalist Casper Ruud in five different exhibition matches. The exhibition tour will start in Buenos Aires, followed by matches in Bogota, Quito, Belo Horizonte, and Ciudad de Mexico.
