Remember, the 27-year-old won two titles this year, one each at Eastbourne and Delray Beach. Besides, he emerged as the runner-up in two events which included the US Open where he lost to Sinner in the finals. But interestingly, it is not just Fritz who is gaining such limelight as fans are also remarkably backing the local boy, Jannik Sinner.
The Italian star was recently spotted at the Principi di Piemonte hotel where several fans greeted him with a warm chant, “Olé olé olé olé, Sinner Sinner.” Sinner didn’t disappoint his fans either and greeted them while he was protected by the cordon of the police. He was seen shaking hands and hugging his fans, while promising, “See you soon”. Interestingly, Sinner’s team also received a similar reception, with his coach Darren Cahill signing autographs for the fans.
