Royalty, celebrities, and tennis legends graced the Centre Court for the Wimbledon Championships final on Sunday. From little Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the Amazing Spiderman Andrew Garfield and James Bond Daniel Craig, the finale pulled Hollywood towards tennis. When Hollywood meets tennis, Novak Djokovic usually has a friend or two among the crowd. During the final at SW19, it was none other than the star who portrayed Loki, one of Marvel’s most loved and exceptionally well-written grey characters, on the big screen. However, his presence somehow brings out the worst possible result for the ‘Djoker’ on the court, according to a peculiar stat was revealed by the Tennis Channel.
Tom Hiddleston frequently attends tennis matches, and while the crowd enjoys it, Djokovic’s fate has never been good when the ‘God of Mischief’ graces the stands.

It is hard for tennis enthusiasts to stay away from the game, especially when you know the winner is going to make history. The final win in the grass-court Grand Slam this year was crucial for both the Serb and Carlos Alcaraz. Djoker held the record of not losing a match in 10 years at Centre Court till Loki came his way.
According to the ‘Tennis Channel, the ATP 2nd seed lost both his matches when Hiddleston was in attendance. The tweet read,
“Djokovic is 0-2 in the last two matches Loki has been in attendance for ? .”Before Sunday’s final, ‘The Night Manager’ star attended the Laver Cup?which Djokovic lost.

So the Tennis account on Twitter took a sly dig at Djoker’s ‘Loki’ luck. When Team Europe was almost close to winning the title and bid a memorable adieu to Roger Federer, Felix Auger-Aliassime beat the Serb in straight sets and thus taking the Team World on the path of winning their first-ever Laver Cup. But these are not the only matches Hiddleston attended.

As much as superstitions and beliefs matter in professional sports, Hiddleston did not always bring bad luck for the 7-time Wimbledon champ. He attended the 8th day of matches in which Djokovic also played. On that day, Novak Djokovic and Hubert Hurkacz played the fourth-round match on Centre Court. The Polish player lost to the 36-year-old champion, managing to win only one set.
That match was a cakewalk for Djokovic, despite Hiddleston being present. But what differed between the two matches is the company. While the British star watched his previous Wimbledon match accompanied by his mother, he witnessed the final with his fiancee. So who exactly brought bad luck for the 23 times Grand Slam champion?
The 42-year-old Hollywood star admired Djokovic’s game and hailed him as one of the greatest players to have played the sport. He revealed his admiration for Djoker after he attended the Laver Cup and shared that he is an ardent fan of Rafael Nadal and absolutely adores The Swiss Maestro. Hiddleston always supported ‘The Big 3’ and enjoys watching their games.
