In a conversation about the world of professional tennis, former Grand Slam finalist Mark Philippoussis praised Novak Djokovic for his exceptional commitment to the sport. Djokovic’s level of professionalism, according to Philippoussis, surpasses even that of legendary players like Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. As outlined by the Australian coach, the key to Djokovic’s success lies in his undivided dedication.

According to Philippoussis, tennis victories don’t just demand hard work but also require a firm dedication to constantly be on the game. He highlighted that Djokovic, throughout his glorious journey, has had this never-dying affinity for the sport. He mentioned, “You have to eat, breathe, and sleep tennis to be winning multiple Grand Slams.

As the Australian picked pace about his thoughts on Djokovic, he added, “As incredibly professional as you’ve seen Rafa (Nadal) be or (Roger) Federer, where they’re competing and making sure that they’re going into grand slams mentally and physically the fittest, Djokovic (has) taken that to a level and it’s just amazing.” However, what sets Djokovic apart is his continuous hustle for improvement. He carefully examines every aspect of his game, seeking to gain even the tiniest advantages.

Australian tennis coach Mark Philippoussis’ thoughts about Djokovic gave a very clear image of why he could be the right pick among the three big names of the ATP. However, as this never-ending debate keeps meeting new aliases, many other tennis legends join the conversation every now and then to present their thoughts.

Recently, tennis legend Boris Becker also presented his verdict about the big three, and surprisingly, the Serb happened to be his choice too. Boris mentioned, “And then the young guys are tired, not the 36-year-old. That is extraordinary. 23 grand slams in an era where we had Federer, where we had Nadal, not to mention Murray and Wawrinka.”
