Continuing his domination, Carlos Alcaraz is in a roaring form at the French Open. Outplaying his opponents in the most gracious way, the Spaniard is currently in the quarterfinals. One of the hot favorites for the title, he will next play the third-seeded Alexander Zverev.

Yesterday, he played his fourth-round match. In the clash, he outplayed the 21st seeded Karen Khachanov in straight sets. Even though he celebrated his win in the most exciting way, he had certain complaints about the French Open officials. As per the 19-year-old, the officials were being unfair to him while scheduling his matches.

Carlos Alcaraz calls out for the French Open officials

Carlos Alcaraz has been winning the matches. However, he has not been having a pleasant experience in the schedule of his matches. He played his third-round match in the night session at the Philippe-Chatrier. Going ahead, it was followed by another night session match in yesterday’s fourth round. After playing two back-to-back night session matches, it was finally yesterday that Alcaraz opened up about it.

Post his win over Khachanov, Carlos Alcaraz headed to have a word with the media; He spoke about the scheduling issue of his matches. He said“If I’m honest, I don’t think it’s fair, you have to make things clear. I’ve already played twice in the night session.” HoweverThe Spanish prodigy made sure to give a reason for his allegation. Elaborating on the problems faced while playing night sessions, he said, “I’m not saying I don’t mind playing, but you have less time to rest and everything finishes very late”

Visiting the French Open run of Alcaraz so far

Eyeing his first Grand Slam title, Carlos Alcaraz kicked off his 2022 French Open campaign with a first-round win over Argentina’s Juan Ignacio Londero. Even though he had an easy win in the first round, he was put to the test in the second round. In the second round, he played against fellow Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas. Holding his nerve, he went on to win the match in five sets.

Learning from his shortcomings in the second round, Carlos made a strong comeback in the third round, outplaying 27 seeded Sebastian Korda in straight sets. Keeping up his strong form, he yesterday outplayed 21st seeded Karen Khachanov in the fourth round. He will next play third-seeded Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals.
