He shared his decision to stay away from tennis post-retirement and find satisfaction and bliss as a family man.

The father of two opens up about his tranquil existence in Los Angeles. He details how it overshadows the fabulousness of the tennis world. After wrapping up his competitive tennis career in 2014 at 43 years old, Pete Sampras found a newly discovered feeling of peace and harmony. He shared that he doesn’t want to engage in tennis in a similar capacity as in the past.

The 14-time Grand Slam champion, officially retired from professional tennis in August 2003, right away before the US Open. Sampras’ retirement from the cutthroat circuit didn’t mean a total separation from tennis. He later partook in seniors’ tour events, savoring the valuable chance to keep playing in a more casual environment.

Devoted to his retirement as he was to his work, Pete Sampras embraced a comfortable way of life after saying goodbye to proficient tennis. In the book, he said, ?I am very content. People ask me about commentating and I am not sure I would want to travel to do that. They ask about coaching and I am not sure that is what I want to do to get back to the sport.”

Sampras also added,” I spend a lot of time with my wife and kids and we do things together as a family, going to Palm Desert?where I have a home?now and then. I don?t need to be at Wimbledon or the U.S. Open. If my kids want to go there, I am there. One of these years I might take my family to Wimbledon. I am just happy being where I am at.”

” I am just content with my life in L.A. I work out every day, which makes me feel good and keeps me in shape.” Sampras shared that he plays golf now.
