Nick Kyrgios is one of the most dynamic personalities on the tennis courts. He is known for his antics and quirky behavior. The Australian tested positive for Covid-19 right before he was due to play his first tournament of 2022 in Sydney.
Further, the 26-year-old entered the opening Grand Slam of the season short on match practice. Although he bowed out in singles to Daniil Medvedev in the second round, he had a memorable campaign in doubles. He teamed up with fellow countryman Thanasi Kokkinakis and the pair went on to win the title.

The Australian believes that people should remember him as an icon who did things his own way.

Further, he said, “It took a long time to look myself in the mirror and thought, ‘I don’t really care if I win a Grand Slam. I don’t want to be like Roger Federer’. I don’t care how I’m perceived because the people around me know I’m a caring person. I’m always myself. I’m confident and I try and help people.”
Moreover, he added, “I want to be remembered as more than just someone who played tennis. You’ve got Nadals and Djokovic and Federers; I want kids to be like, If that guy can do it then maybe we can do it as well.”
