On his day off, the Austrian player spent time with school children at the Fawkner Park Tennis Club in Melbourne. The 27-year-old interacted with kids, sharing tips and playing with them. It was a special moment for the kids present there to see one of the world’s best players, and they will remember this interaction for a long time. At the end of their meeting, Thiem posed for a picture with all the kids present there.

After losing his first match at the ATP Cup, Thiem and team Austria will face France tomorrow. During that tie, Dominic will face French tennis player Gael Monfils and will need to win the match to put Austria in a comfortable position to win the tie.

In the previous edition, Austria didn’t go past the group stage. Novak Djokovic had led Serbia to win the first ATP Cup after beating Spain in the final.
