Britain’s rising star, Arthur Fery, has been awarded a wildcard for Wimbledon for the second consecutive year! Last year, the Wimbledon native made his debut against Daniil Medvedev. This year, he’s set to take on Germany’s Daniel Altmaier in the first round. Reflecting on last year, Fery shared, “playing in front of 15,000 people all rooting for you, it’s something you’ll never really forget.” As we look at his journey, let’s meet the key pillars of support for this 21-year-old British tennis player.

Arthur Fery comes from a family deeply rooted in sports. His father, Loic, is the president of FC Lorient, and his mother, Olivia, is a former WTA professional. They have been constant supporters throughout his rise to the Top 250 in the men’s singles ranking. Alongside his family, there’s another significant figure who has been a steadfast supporter from behind the scenes—Arthur’s girlfriend, Honor Millard.

Arthur Fery is dating Honor Millard, a London native. Honor attended Wimbledon High School GDST and King’s College School Wimbledon, where she excelled in athletics and became the first-team hockey captain. She later graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts from Durham University, where she was also active in extracurricular activities, serving as Financial Partnership Director of the Durham University Charity Fashion Show. Currently, Honor works as an associate consultant with Frog, a leading global creative consultancy under Capgemini Invent.

Arthur Fery’s mother, Olivia, played in the women’s singles at the 1991 French Open and has been a significant inspiration for Arthur’s tennis career. “I was never really pushed to play tennis, but we lived close to a tennis club, and my mum was a professional player—she was very good—so that encouraged me to try out tennis,” Fery revealed in an interview. He credits his mother for his initial interest in the sport.

Arthur Fery further added, “She kind of helped me get going. We had a club just up the hill from Wimbledon, called Westside, like 50 metres from our house. They had hard courts and artificial clay. But there was a great coach over there and I played with my mum on the weekends. So that’s kind of how I started.” Arthur’s rise to the top tiers of tennis is a testament to his immense talent, coupled with the unwavering support and love from his family and loved ones.
