After three failed attempts in Grand Slam finals, Dominic Thiem finally won his first Major at the US Open 2020. The Austrian player broke into headlines and many claimed that he might prove to be a tough challenge for the ‘Big Three’.
World No.4 Dominic Thiem is a player who likes to keep his life private. Fans hardly know that both his parents, Wolfgang Thiem and Karin Thiem, were tennis players. Interestingly, his father has also coached Dennis Novak and Sebastian Ofner and was Thiem’s first coach as well.
Some fans who even know about his parents have no idea that the US Open 2020 winner also has a younger brother named Moritz Thiem, who is also a tennis player. He is 21 at the moment, and Dominic has claimed on numerous occasions that he has learned a lot of things from him.

All you need to know about Moritz Thiem- younger brother of Dominic Thiem
Born on December 8, 1999, Moritz Thiem is the second child of Wolfgang Thiem and Karin Thiem.

Moritz recently achieved his career-high ATP ranking of 1225 in 2019. Standing 5 feet and 8 inches tall, he made his ATP main draw debut at the Generali Open 2019 in Kitzbuhel in the doubles draw with partner Nicolas Massu.
Moritz is currently dating Lena Millonig, an athlete who competes internationally for Austria in ULC-Riverside Modling.

Moritz has said that he would want to focus on an academic career if tennis doesn’t work out for him. He also believes that he can easily come into the top 100 players’ list in the future if he continues to work hard. And with Dominic to guide him, Moritz can surely achieve this objective and perhaps even go beyond.
