The German tennis legend, Boris Becker, embarked on his illustrious tennis journey by winning the Wimbledon title at a very young age. However, the 6-time singles Grand Slam champion has struggled with his off-court journey after being imprisoned in a bankruptcy case, earlier this year. Becker has now been released from prison and returned to his home country after he was deported from England.
While in Germany, he finally got an opportunity to meet his 87-year-old mother, Elvira. The former tennis ace has been away from his family for a while because of his legal issues in the United Kingdom. However, now that he is back in Germany, the 55-year-old got the chance to be reunited with his family, especially his mother.

The 87-year-old Elvira was reportedly heartbroken when the German tennis legend was sentenced to prison for flaunting the conditions of his bankruptcy. However, according to The Sun UK, Boris Becker has finally got the opportunity to reunite with his 87-year-old mother.
Apart from his mother, the 6-time singles Grand Slam champion also got to meet his girlfriend, Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, along with his son Noah when the German tennis great returned to his home in Leimen.
Becker’s mother Elvira was reportedly “overjoyed” when she heard the news of his son coming back to his home country. Elvira, according to her friend, stated, “The best Christmas present I could hope for – I cannot wait to hold my beloved son in my arms.”
The 87-year-old was overjoyed as her son Becker came home just before Christmas. However, the disgraced tennis star has faced a ban from the United Kingdom for a period of 10 years. The German tennis great will also be dropped from his Wimbledon coverage role.

Becker on sharing space with murderers
The former tennis player got an opportunity to lift the lid on the troubles he faced during his imprisonment. During his interview with the german broadcaster SAT.1, Becker revealed the threats he allegedly faced while he was in jail. The German tennis legend revealed that a murderer in jail wanted his coat.
He further stated that the person who he was talking about would go as far as to kill him if he didn’t get the coat. Becker further went on to reveal a similar incident about another inmate who wanted to harm him in Huntercombe prison. However, Becker added that the same person, later on, apologized for his actions.
