Both the players have proved to be tough challenges for each other on the court. Going back to their last three encounters, the two have pushed each other to bring out their best tennis.
Both the players gear up for their respective semi-finals. Eventually, this increases the possibility of them facing each other again at the finals of the US Open. Hence, the former coach of Roger Federer has given his verdict on who is going to be the victor.
He stated on Tennis Channel, “For me, it’s about who gets into that last match in the best physical and mental shape.” Looking back upon their previous encounters starting from the French Open, Annacone brought notice to the problem.
He stated, “When you see what these guys have done in so many of their matches, this was a problem. 2023, two sets in, and Alcaraz started to cramp in Paris and that was a sign that it was maybe about nerves.” However, then again at Wimbledon, the absence of any physical issue gave Alcaraz a boost.
He stated, “What happens when we get to the grass courts of the All England Club? Not hot, not humid, not muggy but that man handled the pressure unbelievably well.”
Taking the scenario back to their most recent face-off at Cincinnati, he stated, “Here in Cincinnati, how do you play three sets that long?!”
So, for Annacone, whosoever amongst the two is going to stay physically fit is going to get the title. However, the prevailing issue at Arthur Ashe Stadium might prove to be a challenge for both players.

Players continue to struggle with the wrath of Arthur Ashe Stadium
Though the intention was pure, the results that have come into the limelight are troublesome. As was visible during the quarter-finals between Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev.
Both the players lost their cool on the court complaining about the hot and humid condition of the stadium. The $150 million roof has proved too much for players who find it difficult to deal with the heat. Medvedev even had to see a doctor on the court twice during his match.
