Have you seen the Netflix tennis documentary series “Break Point” which depicted the struggles that tennis professionals face in their daily lives? After captivating the audience with the documentary, new episodes are likely to be released this summer. Well, given the fans’ response to the first five episodes, Taylor Fritz, an American tennis player, who was one of the series’ main characters, recently revealed his thoughts on how he wants to ‘spice things up’ in the next installment of the documentary. 

The series will return with another five episodes that will cover the 2022 Wimbledon and US Open tournaments. Hopefully, it will provide even more amazing behind-the-scenes footage from last year’s biggest takeaways in two of the most prestigious tournaments.

The first part of the tennis documentary received a lot of mixed reactions from the audience. A lot of people enjoyed watching what goes behind the scenes as they go through the rigors of the tough tennis circuit. However, a lot of people were also not satisfied. A section of tennis fans believed that the documentary was quite straightforward with no substance or on-court drama that would keep the audience hooked.

 Recently, the 25-year-old tennis player provided his take to increase engagement in the show. In a press conference, following his victory in the opening round of the French Open, he said, “I think to be fair, this year there’s been a lot more on-court arguments, stuff like that. Maybe they can put it in there, spice it up, give a bit of that, but I don’t know. I feel like they definitely don’t want to create a story that’s not there.”

Moreover, there were some crazy fan theories floating around on the internet following the release of the tennis documentary. One of them had something to do with a bizarre Netflix curse placed on the documentary’s stars

Players like Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, and Matteo Berrettini excelled last year. But, suffered an early exit from the Australian Open earlier this year after the documentary’s release. Additionally, Nick Kyrgios withdrew from the competition due to an injury.

This led certain fans to believe that there was a “Netflix curse” on the tennis stars who featured in the documentary.

Only Maria Sakkari and Felix Auger-Aliassime, however, were able to overcome the curse and had an good run in the tournament.
