Roger Federer said his farewell to the world of tennis as a professional player at the 2022 Laver Cup. Speaking specifically about the recently signed contract, the Swiss Maestro said, “You know, I think my style on court and around it, and when I am with the family, is quite consistent, actually”. He added, “I’m sporty. It’s athleisure. It’s classic.”

Federer’s aim is to create sturdy sunglasses that stay in place even during travel. “These frames have to be solid around the head, and not fall off with, you know, the first flick of the neck.” Federer also commented on how his life of constant and continuous movement won’t stop anytime soon. “I’ve been under the sun for over 25 years. That is not going to stop.”

Business, family and charity are Federer’s priorities following his retirement

In Federer’s 25 years as a pro tennis athlete, he hardly ever had the time to spend time with his family. It was also difficult to him to make time for business. However, the legend, having hung up his racket for good, is now prioritizing business and family. Charity is also high on the list of Federer’s priorities, as the Roger Federer Foundation continues to play a massive role in furthering education in Africa.

Most recently, Federer took part in a memorable photoshoot for Swiss running shoe brand On. Federer invested heavily in the company back in 2019. Through his photoshoot, he promoted On’s latest tennis shoes designed specifically for clay courts. The timing of the promotional photoshoot was spot on. After all, the clay season is underway and heading for its climax at the 2023 French Open.
