Recently, the former tennis legend’s foundation raised a record-breaking amount for charity, astonishing everyone around. Apart from being a tennis commentator, the American tennis star also has his own foundation that raises funds for various projects in the sporting arena. John McEnroe Foundation raised record-breaking funds 

After the seven-time Grand Slam champion issued a statement about testing positive for COVID and missing out on ESPN coverage, he is still active in other aspects of his life. Well, the 64-year-old American tennis legend’s foundation, Johnny Mac Tennis Project, recently had an event in Amagansett, where they raised a record-breaking amount more than the last time.

According to Tennis Grandstand, the charity raised around $650,000 in one day, beating the previous record of $600,000. Not only is that higher than the previous one, but it is also the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year.

This fundraiser comes under the Foundation’s mission of transforming young lives into having a better future by removing economic, racist, and social barriers by achieving success through tennis.

Along with that, the foundation is working to introduce tennis to thousands of under-resourced New York City area children, including those living in East Harlem and the South Bronx.

To spread awareness with the help of the sport, the foundation recently organized an event full of tennis players, including a lot of former tennis players, including Rennae Stubbs and Patrick McEnroe, along with the 64-year-old tennis legend himself.

There were 75 teams playing in the event, according to Tennis Grandstand, and among the more well-known players from the tennis arena were Reilly Opelka, Jim Courier, Andrea Petkovic, Luke Jensen.
