In his interview, Victor Hanescu was adamant in his belief that the greatest of all time in tennis is determined by accomplishments, not by individual preferences. He claimed that Djokovic’s impressive record-breaking success makes a compelling case for why he should be the GOAT. He talked about the Serb’s numerous titanic Grand Slam victories. According to UK Sports, the former ATP Star shared,“And that shows us, even if we have different references or maybe if some like Roger Federer or some like Rafael Nadal, that what Djokovic has achieved, at least from my point of view, in terms of results, makes him now the best.”
Admirably, Djokovic recently completed his career Grand Slam by capturing the French Open title. His twin further sets him apart in a class of his own within tennis history. Tennis champions such as Federer and Nadal possess coveted characteristics. However, Djokovic stands out with his complete package of unrivaled achievements and unwavering consistency on the court. Hanescu believes that Djokovic is a formidable force. His current form inevitably dusts off any doubts about him continuing to be a major competitor for titles in the upcoming years.
Hanescu also explained, “In the end, the results speak. Okay, we like Federer, he’s elegant, or Nadal, because he’s a fighter. But in the end, when we draw the line and see what Djokovic has achieved, we can’t discuss anything else.”
Despite the young generation coming up, Hanescu predicted Djokovic will remain a supreme power for at least another two to three years.
