The Swiss Maestro is enjoying his retirement life, taking in new challenges and experiences to expand his horizon. However, that does not mean that Roger Federer has kept essential elements of his on the side. Being one of the G.O.A.T. players, Federer has always kept his health top-notch. And this is something he is continuing to do even now, though he is ready to take up new challenges. Influenced by his wife Mirka Federer, he has now tried something new and amusing for a change.

Tennis demands physical fitness over anything else. So, Federer could not slack off even if he ever wanted to. Now, this has become an imperative part of his life and he is continuing on that streak after his retirement too.

While trying new things off the court, Federer is not forgetting about his fitness goals. So, he is trying innovative ways to get his training regimen in.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, he stated he wanted to take on some new exercise routines. He stated, “I’ve wanted to try certain challenges, like 300 push-ups every day for a month.” However, the grueling challenge is not the only thing he tried.

He also took things a bit easy after getting influenced by his wife, Mirka Federer. He stated, “I also just tried SoulCycle for the first time in East Hampton because my wife and her friends went every morning and said I have to come.”

Apparently, it was a new yet amusing experience for Federer. He excitingly added, “My girls came too. It was great music, and I really enjoyed it.”

All in all, Federer is keen on maintaining his fitness. However, the only thing that has changed is that he can try new things and not worry about his on-court performance. Moreover, he is quite enthralled by his new ‘profession’ after retiring from tennis, which surely would need a lot of energy every day!

Federer details his new job role after retirement 

While being active on the court, Federer could not always be present for the daily tasks of his children. But after retirement, he has taken the fatherly role pretty seriously.

Discussing the same with ‘The Wall Street Journal’, Federer stated he is professionally their driver now. Even if the logistics may be tricky with four of them piled up in the car, Federer seems to enjoy his new role.
