During his career, lasting more than 20 years now, Federer has managed to win an astonishing 20 Grand Slam titles. While his exploits on the court are no secret, Federer has also carved a niche for himself in the business world.
Roger Federer continues to be the highest-paid tennis player
The 41-year-old retained the top spot in Forbes’ list of the highest-paid tennis superstars despite his absence from the tour. While his on-court earnings are none due to his long-injury absence, the Swiss maestro’s sponsorship deals and investments make him a cut above the rest.
Federer earned $90 million in off-court earnings from his sponsors, such as Uniqlo, Credit Suisse, and Rolex. Additionally, he also has an equity stake in the Swiss running shoe brand, On. The company went public last September. Meanwhile, the likes of Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams, and Rafael Nadal follow Federer on Forbes’ list.
On the tennis front, Federer last played a competitive match at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. However, he suffered a knee injury following his quarterfinal defeat against Hubert Hurkacz. As a result, the former World Number 1 hasn’t played for over a year.
