When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. The 20-year-old Danish tennis player, Holger Rune knows that very well. He has been completely out of form recently, but still, he manages to find some positivity among his woes. How?

Recently, the world number 6 faced the 53rd-ranked Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia at Kungliga Tennishallen stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. The Serbian defeated the defending champion in straight sets to move into the QFs of the BNP Paribas Nordic Open. This is the 9th loss out of 10 matches for Rune. Yet he sees light at the end of the tunnel. Here’s why.

Holger Rune feels confident even after his shocking exit in Stockholm

The former world number 4, has been struggling with a back injury and lack of form for quite a while now. But just when everyone felt that he was going to make a comeback, he upsets his fans yet again. He was eager to end his poor run of form, but the Serb thought otherwise.

After a close fight in the first set, Kecmanovic sealed the match with 7-6(3), 6-2 in 1 hour and 44 minutes. This was their first meeting, and oh boy! The 24-year-old Serbian didn’t fail to impress us. But for the Dane, he felt quite better than before irrespective of the outcome of the match. Here’s what he said on his early exit.

“I felt myself and my game more today than I did in a while, so I feel confident now in making the last adjustments and finish the year strong 🦾Thank you @sthlmopen for always being awesome 🤩,” Holger Rune.

Rune’s career so far has been filled with ups and downs. Although the Scandinavian didn’t get the results he wanted on Nordic soil, the display of positivity after the match & by his mother from the sidelines is what keeps his fans’ fingers crossed. No one can doubt his potential, with little consistency he will surely achieve wonders for the Danes.
