Nick Kyrgios comes off as one of the most controversial tennis players in the world. It is unsurprising that the controversial characters receive plenty of hate from the fans on social media and in court. So going by that logic, Kyrgios would be one of the most disliked players on the ATP tour at the moment.

Crowds booing and social media replies filled with hatred have become a common sight for the Aussie. At the same time, the Aussie’s on-court outbursts do not help his image. However, Kyrgios seems unfazed by the hate, as his Instagram story suggests.

Nick Kyrgios reveals how he deals with hatred

The 28-year-old loves Q&A sessions on Instagram. He does them pretty often, and he did one again just a few hours ago. In one of the questions, Kyrgios was asked about how he deals with hate. He came up with a perfect reply to the question while also finding a way to mock his naysayers.

In reply to the proposed question, Kyrgios said, “I can take care of my family, my partner and continue to do anything I want in this life…whilst they watch (inserts laughing emoticon)”. The Aussie is completely unbothered by the outside noises. He is happy with his personal life and the fact that he can take care of his family.

Social media hatred can be damaging, and Kyrgios has been one of the outspoken players in this regard. He has pointed out the shortcoming of social media in the past while suggesting other players to not get affected by the comments.

Kyrgios’ take on social media’s negativity

Kyrgios has previously admitted that social media can have a negative impact on players. He has cut down on his phone usage for that particular reason. The 2022 Wimbledon finalist has also revealed that it helped him recover and now he finds himself in a better place. With Costeen Hatzi’s regular support, Kyrgios is making constant improvements to his mental health.
