Rafael Nadal, the Spanish tennis legend, claimed his 14th French Open title and silenced the rumors of his retirement a week ago. After securing his 22nd Grand Slam title, he opted for medical help and recently turned up for a practice session. On Monday, Nadal took his first step towards the grass season and entered the practice grounds of the Mallorca Championships. He is hoping to sharpen his skills for the Wimbledon Championship by playing in the ATP 250 event.

Further, about the 36-year-old’s injury, the statement on the process for his return stipulated “three or four days with normal maintenance physical activity. Depending on the evolution of the treatment and as long as it is positive, he would resume training on the track.”

The Spaniard has gone through a procedure which sends pulsed radiofrequency in the different nerves present in the mid-foot and hind foot region. Thus reducing the sensation in the area of ​​the injury.

And after suffering a quarterfinals exit in Madrid and fourth round exit in Rome, Nadal clinched the title at the French Open in dominating fashion.
