Novak Djokovic, the Serbian legend, is extending an invitation to his main rival, Carlos Alcaraz, to consider supporting the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA). Despite their intense on-court battles, Djokovic is eager to engage in a conversation with the young Spanish sensation about joining the PTPA.

“I haven’t done it with Carlos yet, but I’ve been planning to,” he said with a smile in an interview. “We’ve been facing each other too much on the court and we haven’t had a chance to relax a little bit. We did kind of have a funny little talk after the finals of Cincinnati and we’re going to play a golf round together eventually so maybe that’s going to be an ideal few hours for me to spend with him and have a little chat.”

Djokovic founded the PTPA organization back in 2020

It was Novak Djokovic who came up with the brilliant idea back in 2020 and started the PTPA. The organization was started with the motive to stand for the betterment of the players and to take a stand, wherever required. However, the formation of the PTPA was dealt with mixed reactions. While many extended their support for the organization, many did not favor it.

After the formation of the organization, the players were sent letters, expecting them to join hands with Djokovic in his initiative. Thus, what once started as a small initiative later turned out to be one of the best decisions in tennis history. With the inclusion of some of the prominent names in tennis, the PTPA looks to progress with each passing day.
