In an exclusive interview with Eurosport, Tsitsipas candidly shared his views on the production, criticizing its portrayal of his tennis journey and the events surrounding his controversial match against Nick Kyrgios.

When asked about his concerns regarding the documentary reopening the conflict from last year, according to Eurosport, Tsitsipas replied, “If that comes up, it is. I had problems with the behavior in that match. I wasn’t used to such things before. He made it into my head, which other players don’t really succeed. But I understand that and I am aware that such things can happen again in the future. I know how to deal with it. That is good.”
Reflecting on his own actions during the match, Tsitsipas admitted, “How I dealt with it in the match was totally immature. I am not bothered when the episode comes out and the wound opens again, so to speak. I’m not a big fan of the whole production. You could have done a much better job, to be honest. I’m a little disappointed. I’m not the only one who sees it that way either. If you ask other players, they will say exactly the same thing.”
Indeed, Tsitsipas is not the only one with reservations about the show. His candid remarks shed light on the dissatisfaction among some players regarding the production’s portrayal of their experiences.

In a moment of frustration, Tsitsipas angrily threw a ball into the crowd, which caught the attention of Kyrgios. Seizing the opportunity, Kyrgios engaged in a heated argument with the chair umpire, demanding Tsitsipas’s disqualification. Drawing parallels to Novak Djokovic’s disqualification from the 2020 US Open, Kyrgios questioned why Tsitsipas wasn’t similarly penalized for endangering the crowd. “How can you throw a ball into the stands, hit someone, and not be disqualified? Does he have to get hurt before you disqualify him?” Kyrgios exclaimed.
Known for his emotional outbursts on the court, Kyrgios expressed his disbelief, saying, “If I did this… my God.” Despite Kyrgios’s pleas, the match continued, albeit with a palpable tension between the two players.
