It has been almost a year since we last saw Rafael Nadal in action. The Spaniard last played competitive tennis 344 days precisely at the 2023 Australian Open where he lost in the second round. The former World Number 1 has been suffering from injuries since then, which has kept him away from the sport. However, he has recovered now and is gearing up for his comeback. However, Nadal is on his way to Australia to participate in the Brisbane International. The draw for the ATP 250 tournament takes place on Friday. Nadal has been handed a wildcard to participate in the tournament as his ranking has taken a major hit owing to his absence. Nadal is placed at the 670th spot on the ATP rankings chart. Nonetheless, fans were left excited as Nadal’s comeback is just 5 days away.
