The Italian tennis star has been on a roll this season, having previously reached the top four rankings on the ATP Tour. Jannik Sinner, who secured a runner-up finish at the Nitto ATP Finals, has carried on his great on-court momentum to the Davis Cup. With the help of the 22-year-old player’s straight-set win against Tallon Greikspoor, 7-6, 6-1, the Italian side secured a place in the semis. Later, the current world No. 4 also stunned Novak Djokovic in the singles match, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5, as his nation has now reached the final of the Davis Cup.

Alex de Minaur, on the other hand, has also made some crucial contributions that have paved the path for his team’s second consecutive Davis Cup final. With a 4-6, 7-6(2), 7-5 victory against Jiri Lehecka, the Aussie helped his country make an incredible comeback against the Czech Republic earlier this week. Later in the semifinals, De Minaur thumped Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori in a straight-set match 6-4, 6-3, as the Aussies have now made it to their second consecutive Davis Cup final.
