While they were photographing their victory with their trophies, it was seen that Daniil took a toy from Jannik’s trophy (from inside the cup), and just left the stage afterward.

A lot of speculations came up on the incident. People even assumed that he took the toy to give to his daughter. Finally, Daniil has spoken about why he apparently ‘stole’ the toy from Jannik clearing all the speculation going around it.

The silence is finally broken and Daniil has opened up about what actually went down in the viral video of him taking a toy from Jannik Sinner. People around the world have been waiting to know what actually happened and here it is directly from the star of the video himself.

Daniil cleared up what happened at the time. He said, “It was mine. The thing is that they gave us both a toy, & he put him straight away in his trophy, in the cup. And, I didn’t want to be with a toy in the pictures because I knew that it was a great picture. So I put mine in his cup & took it back.”

He even mentioned how he was surprised about this becoming such a big deal.
