The reigning US Open champion Daniil Medvedev recently gave an ecstatic news for the tennis fans. The Russian confirmed his participation at the 2022 Australian Open at Melbourne.
But even before that, he will hit the court in one of the most-awaited tennis events. The 25-YO, who recently lost to Novak Djokovic in the Paris Masters finals, will next compete at the ATP World Tour Finals in Turin.

The Russian looks to continue his winning run next year as well, starting with the ‘happy slam‘ in Melbourne. Medvedev proved that he can better all of his peers on hard courts and hus main rival will remain the 20x majors champion Novak Djokovic.
The Serbian defeated Medvedev in straight sets at the AO finals this year and instilled his dominance at Rod Laver Arena. Notably, the duo is all set to begin yet another incredible chapter in the ATP tour history through their rivalry.

Both Medvedev and Djokovic played three important finals this year as the latter dominated the Russian with two wins. However, the world no.2 defeated the Serb in one of the most important major finals of his career at the US Open.

In New York, when the crowd was going against him, Medvedev showed incredible composure. He stuck to his strengths to notch up an incredible victory against Djokovic. Not just that, the Russian even earned the praise of the fans when he appreciated the Serb for his contributions to the sport.
While players such as Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, and Andrey Rublev are giving a tough fight to Medvedev at various tournaments, the Russian has proved that he will always be a step ahead.
