Spain is facing Brazil on the first day of the United Cup, and the tennis action has returned after a long break. While tennis fans are glad that the sport has returned, the players have a reason to be angry with the system already. In the bout between Fokina and Seyboth, a serve landed outside of the box. However, the electronic line call system deems it to be valid.

A picture of the moment was shared by The Tennis Letter. They added the caption, “First match of the new season. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina & Thiago Seyboth Wild are both a bit puzzled. Electronic line calling said this serve was in. It was clearly out by at least 4 inches. The umpire cannot overrule electronic line calls. Interesting start to 2024 😂.”

The two players have already found a reason to be annoyed with the officiating system, as even the umpire cannot overrule the line call system.
