Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner has been on the rise for the past couple of seasons. The youngster has been playing some phenomenal tennis and has won several fans during his spell so far. 

After seeing him perform over the past few years, fans have noticed his potential and believe that he can become an asset to the game. In his short career so far, Sinner has already won five titles on the ATP circuit.

Jannik Sinner suffers an unfortunate outcome 

Recently, Jannik was seen competing at the ATP 1000 event in Miami. Sadly, after playing a wonderful tournament, he was forced to retire during his quarterfinal match against Argentine player Francisco Cerundolo, as he was suffering from a foot injury.

The 20-year-old explained his injury and stated, “It’s the right foot. No, it was yesterday in the last game, as I said, and now today I wanted to try, because maybe (indiscernible) was better. I made the first game one slide, and I felt worse, and then I couldn’t move. Yeah, especially when I slide, but also when I move when it makes contact with the shoe is tough, but we have to figure out and find a way.”

Showing optimistic signs

Coming to tennis, Sinner began the season in Australia and played some good tennis before losing in the quarterfinal. Post that, he competed at the Dubai Duty Tennis Championships and lost in the quarterfinals again. 

Following that, he was suffering from an illness that allowed Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios to get a walkover and proceed into the next round. Sadly, he was having an amazing run at the Miami Open before feeling the pain of his blister on the foot.

Nonetheless, there is yet a lot of tennis left to be played this season. Fans can be optimistic about the Italian player as he will only get better with time. Ever since he first arrived on the tour, he has only grown as a player. We wish him the best of luck for the remainder of the season.
