Murray shared his thoughts over this new partnership and what the legendary player could add to his game in the new ATP Tennis Radio podcast.

“I think getting back to playing better tennis. I have had some good results over the last couple of years but the consistency of them is been poor and that’s because the level of the tennis I have been playing has not been that high. I trust in what Ivan says, and we obviously had excellent results in the past.”

The Briton continued, “It means a lot to me that he is still willing to help me and believes that I can achieve great results and I trust him in that too. I still feel that it’s possible and if he didn’t believe that, I don’t think he would work with me and he would have told me, so I am looking forward to it and hope we get better results.”
